September is one of the best months of the year to come and visit Dublin. It’s not too busy, everything is open, the weather is still mild (usually) and everyone seems pleased to see Autumn is here. If you’re coming to stay, here are some of the things you can do while you’re here:

EURO 2020 Qualifier: Republic of Ireland versus Switzerland

Another very important match for the boys in green. If you’re in town, pop over to the Aviva Stadium on Thursday 5th of September and you might be able to pick up some tickets outside the ground.

Dublin Fringe Festival

This is probably the biggest theatre festival in Ireland. Dublin Fringe Festival brings the old and the new to stages all over the city – comedy and drama, musical and mystery, performance and art, dance and circus, Irish and international. It runs from Saturday 7th of September – Sunday 22nd of September

Rugby: Guinness Summer Series 2019 – Ireland vs Wales

This is the last warm-up game before the squad heads to Japan for the Rugby World Cup. We beat Wales in Cardiff in the first leg so they’re out for revenge while the Irish boys still have a lot to prove. Aviva Stadium, Saturday 7th of September. Tickets here

All-Ireland Football Replay

Dublin and Kerry senior Gaelic Football teams return to Croke Park on 14th of September to replay the All Ireland Senior Football Championship Final which was a thriller first time round.

Dublin Dragon Boat Regatta

Yes, Dublin has a dragon boat regatta! It all kicks off in the Grand Canal Dock on Saturday 14th of September and carries through to Sunday 15th. More details here.

Culture Night

This fantastic festival kicks off in Dublin on Friday 20th of September.  Check out Culture Night for details: free late-night entertainment, as part of an all-island celebration of arts, heritage and culture.

Ariana Grande

The pint-sized superstar is coming to Dublin’s 3Arena on Sunday 22nd of September, Monday 23rd and now Wednesday 25th. This is her Sweetener World Tour and it’s going to be awesome. See if you can get tickets here

Dublin Theatre Festival

Dublin Theatre Festival 2019 brings world-class theatre to Dublin, supports artists in creating outstanding work and provides a platform to showcase the best of Irish theatre to the world.
